PalletsealHow it works

From wrapper to report in one visit.

Five steps, one iPad. Film use is weighed at the customer's own wrapper, and cost is calculated from those measurements and the customer's own prices. CO₂e is estimated with a stated factor – and the report shows which is which.

01

Create the customer

Add the customer's company, pallets per day and working days. Palletseal calculates pallets per year – the number every saving is scaled to.

  • Pallets per year = pallets per day × working days
  • Example: 650 × 220 = 143,000 pallets a year

02

Measure the current film

Enter the film's data, count the revolutions on the wrapper and weigh the film used on one pallet. From the pallet size and film thickness Palletseal works out how much film would be used without stretch, and compares it with what was actually used. That is the real pre-stretch.

  • Metres used = (length × 2 + width × 2) × revolutions
  • Grams without stretch = thickness × width × metres × 0.92 / 1000
  • Pre-stretch % = (grams without stretch − measured grams) / measured grams × 100
Film test on iPad: 25 revolutions and 175 g measured consumption give a calculated pre-stretch of 294 %, inside the work zone.

03

Compare with your film

Run the same pallet with your film. The comparison shows both films test by test on one screen: grams per pallet, pre-stretch, zone and load stability.

Where does the film sit on the scale?

By default the work zone runs from 20 percentage points below to 30 above the film's maximum pre-stretch, and it can be adjusted per film. Below it there is potential, above it the film is close to its limit – and far above, something is wrong. Drag to try it.

189 %

Film max: 250 % · Work zone: 230–280 %

Zone: Amber

Below the work zone – the film can be stretched more. This is where the saving is.

Load stabilityx/H ≤ 10 % · ≤ 5 %

Four ways to prove the load holds.

Less film only sells if the load still holds. Test with what you already carry – or connect Palletseal equipment – and every result goes straight into the customer's report.

With what you already have

01Tilt test
Your phone or iPad measures the angle. 27° ≈ 0.5 g sideways (EN 12195-1).
02Containment force
Type in readings from your own gauge – a manual pull gauge or an automatic force gun.

With Palletseal equipment

03Acceleration bench
Our acceleration bench, approved for EUMOS 40509 certification. Load it in the app; slo-mo ≥ 80 fps, dynamic and permanent lean.
04C-Meazure
Our containment force device. Connect it in the app and the measurements land in the report.

All four methods end up in the same report.

Palletseal's acceleration bench is approved for EUMOS 40509 certification: tests performed on it are EUMOS 40509 certified acceleration tests, measured from slo-mo video (elastic ≤ 10 %, permanent ≤ 5 % of load height). Results from external labs can also be added to the final report. Illustration – a real slo-mo test video will replace it.

Everything you need to prove it. Nothing you don't.

  • Pre-stretch, measured

Revolutions and measured film weight give the real pre-stretch, shown against the film's maximum on a red–amber–green scale.

  • Film use per pallet and per year

Based on the customer's own pallets per day and working days. One number the buyer recognises.

  • Load stability tests

Tilt, containment force, acceleration bench and C-Meazure at the customer's site. Performed on Palletseal's acceleration bench, the acceleration test is EUMOS 40509 certified.

  • Cost per year and estimated CO₂e

Your film price, the customer's current price and a CO₂e factor per kg film (default estimate 2.3 kg CO₂e, adjustable per film supplier).

  • Machine payback

Show how fast a new wrapper pays for itself on the film saving, measured or simulated.

  • Your brand, their language

Your logo and colour in the app and on every report. 25 languages. No Palletseal branding on the report.

What you need

  • An iPad or iPhone for tests on site
  • A scale to weigh the film used
  • For the acceleration test: Slo-mo recording at 120 or 240 fps (min. 80 fps)
  • Any computer with a browser for reports and Insights
