Privacy policy

This policy explains how personal data is handled on palletseal.com (the website) and in the Palletseal app at app.palletseal.com.
Who is responsible
The data controller is HELPAKOS LIMITED, a private company limited by shares registered in Cyprus (registration number HE482734, registered office Omonoias Avenue 13, 3052 Limassol, Cyprus). Palletseal is the product name. Privacy contact: privacy@palletseal.com.
The website
What we collect
- Server logs. Our hosting provider, Netlify, processes technical data such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver the website and protect it against abuse. We do not use these logs to identify you.
- Contact form. If you write to us, we receive the details you enter: name, work email, company, country, topic, number of sellers and your message. We use them only to answer your enquiry and, if relevant, to prepare an offer (legal basis: steps prior to a contract and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)).
- Statistics. If we enable visitor statistics, we use a cookieless, privacy-friendly tool (Plausible or self-hosted Umami) that does not store personal data on your device and does not track you across websites. [BEKRÆFT når/hvis det slås til]
Where it is stored
The website and the contact form are hosted by Netlify, Inc. (USA). Form submissions are stored by Netlify. Transfers to the USA are based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. We plan to move the contact form to EU-hosted infrastructure.
How long
Contact form submissions are deleted when they are no longer needed to handle your enquiry, and at the latest after [UDFYLD: fx 24] months, unless they become part of a customer relationship.
Cookies
palletseal.com sets no cookies. If you choose a language, the choice may be stored in your browser’s local storage as a preference; it is not sent to us. The Palletseal app uses only cookies and similar storage that are strictly necessary for login and payment (Stripe).
The Palletseal app
When your organisation uses Palletseal, we process data on behalf of your organisation (as a processor): user accounts (name, email, role) and the test data your users enter about their customers (company and contact details, pallets, films, photos, test results and reports).
- Storage: customer data is stored in Frankfurt, Germany (EU). A few service providers – for email delivery, payments and technical support – may process limited data outside the EU under EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. The full list of sub-processors is on palletseal.com/security.
- Payments: Stripe. We never see or store full card details.
- Data processing agreement: our data processing agreement (GDPR Art. 28) forms part of our Terms and is accepted at sign-up. A signed copy is available on request.
- Retention: if a payment fails, the account becomes read-only after 14 days. After a subscription ends, data is kept read-only and can be exported for 90 days and is then deleted. If a trial ends without payment, the data is deleted 30 days after the trial ended. We email the owner before deletion.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. Write to privacy@palletseal.com. You can also complain to the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus (dataprotection.gov.cy) or to the data protection authority in your own country.
Changes
We will update this policy when our services change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
